Answer: 5(x - 4) = 25

In this problem, you want to get x - 4 by itself. Therefore, to do that, you need to divide the 5 from both sides and 25/5 = 5.

When you try solving for 3(x - 4) = 24, you divide the 3 from both sides. When you do that, 24/3 = 8.
