Answer:

2w+2(w+12)=P (104) and
w=20

Explanation:

We know that the following equation represents the problem:

2w+2(w+12)= P

So this means that we can do this:

4w+24= P

We know that
P is 104. We need to fix our current equation, giving us:

4w+24=104

We can subtract 24 to give us
w as a standalone with a coefficient.

104-24=80

4w=80

Then, simply divide the answer by the coefficient to give us the answer of:

80/4=20\\

w=20

w is 20.
