Answer:

x=3 and y=2

Explanation:

first you rearranging the values

2x - y = 4 ...............(i

3x + y = 11 ..............(ii)

make y the subject of formular from ii

y=11 - 3x .............(iii

substitutes equ. (iii) into (i)

2x - (11-3x) = 4

2x - 11 + 3x = 4

5x = 15

x = 3

substituting x into equ. (iii) we have:

y = 11 - 3(3)

y = 11 - 9

y = 2
