4(x-2)^2 -7

We need to FOIL out the (x-2) ^2

( x-2)^2 = (x-2) (x-2) = x^2 -2x -2x+4 = x^2 -4x+4

Replace this in the equation

4( x^2 -4x+4) -7

Distribute

4x^2 -16x +16 -7

Combine like terms

4x^2 -16x +9

a=4 b = -16 c=9
