For #9 they want you to add like terms which means you add 3x+2x together and then 3y-7y together. They’re like terms because they have the same variable(letter) so the answer would be C. 5x-4y
In #10 they’re looking for the same thing that you add the like terms (2x+7x) to simplify the equation which makes the answer C. 9x+1
