Answer:

f^(-1)(x)= (1)/(2)x

Explanation:

Given

f(x) = 2x

Required:

Find
f^(-1)(x)

f(x) = 2x

Replace f(x) with y

y = 2x

Swap both variables

x = 2y

2y = x

Make y the subject

y= (1)/(2)x

Replace y with f-1(x)

f^(-1)(x)= (1)/(2)x
