Since 96 = 32x3 and 96=48x2 we need to find the lowest common multiple of 36 and 96
36 = 3 x 12 and 96 = 8 x 12 so LCM is 3 x 8 x 12 = 288
288 = 32x9 = 36x8 = 48x6 = 96x3
288 - 28 = 260
So 260 is the smallest number that meets the requirements
