The standard form of the equation of line y + 4 = 2 · (x - 7) is equal to - 2 · x + y = 18.

How to find the standard form of the equation of line

In this problem we receive the equation of a line, whose form is shown in the image attached aside and whose standard form must be found, that is, a form:

A · x + B · y + C = 0

Where A, B, C are real coefficients.

The standard form is found by means of algebra properties:

y + 4 = 2 · (x - 7)

y + 4 = 2 · x - 14

- 2 · x + y = 18
