a) This value is equal to one because it is just the number divided by itself.

b) Since any number divided by itself is equal to 1, 6^3/6^3 also has to equal to one. This also means that when we bring the 6^3 up to the numerator, the equation 6^3-3, which simplifies into 6^0 also has to equal 1, because it is equivalent to being divided by itself.
