In a hypothetical population of 1,000 people, tests of blood-type genes show that 165 have the genotype AA, 470 have the genotype AB, and 365 have the genotype BB.

i need help finding the chi square value and please explain how u did it, can someone also explain this p value null hypothesis?

p^2 + 2pq + q^2 = 1

0.16 + 0.48 + 0.36 = 1 (from the question)

hence, q^2 = 0.36

then, q= square root of 0.36

= 0.6
