John wanted to make a good impression on Elena while asking her to prom. He put on his best suit, his best tie, his best shoes, and even his best socks. He needed her to have a good feeling about him, so he wouldn’t get rejected. He put a smile on his face and started to walk towards her. The word impression is used twice, each with a different meaning. The synonym that I used was “feeling”l in the second sentence (“He needed her to have a good feeling about him, so he wouldn’t get rejected”).
