Explanation:

First, draw a line in the middle of the kite to split it into two isosceles triangles. See the image below for reference.

Because they're isosceles, that means the base angle are congruent. So:

180 = 46 + x + x

180 = 46 + 2x

134 = 2x

x = 67

90 + y + y = 180

90 + 2y = 180

2y = 90

y = 45

x + y = m∠1

67 + 45 = m∠1

m∠1 = 112°
