A^2+B^2=C^2, we know that 6^2 times x^2 MUST equal 10^2.

So using the equation, below i show you how to get the value of x.

A^2+B^2=C^2

6^2+B^2=10^2

36+B^2=100

36-36+B^2=100-36

B^2=64

now, B^2 is equal to 64, but we need to find the square root of 64 to get B, or as listed in the question, x.
