Exactly how it should be entered in the answer box.

I entered y=1/4 sin[12(x-pi/8)] and it was wrong, help me find the correct answer thanks

The required equation is y = 1/4sin{12(x - π/8)}

How the equation is derived.

Given that

amplitude,a = 1/4

period = π/6

phase shift = π/8

General sinusoidal function is given as

y = asin{b(x - c)} + k

where

a = amplitude

a = 1/4

Period = 2π/b

π/6 = 2π/b

πb = 12π

b = 12π/π = 12

c = phase shift

c = π/8

d = vertical shift

Substitute into y = asin{b(x - c)}

y = 1/4sin{12(x - π/8)}

The required equation is y = 1/4sin{12(x - π/8)}
