The mean, median, and mode of the weights of the people shown are;

a) Mean: 80 kg, Median: 76 kg, Mode: 61 kg.

In Mathematics and Statistics, the mean or average for any set of data can be calculated by using the following formula:

Mean = ∑x/n

Where:

∑x represents the sum of all data values.

n represents the total number of data items.

Based on the information provided, the total sum of the weight can be calculated as follows;

Σx = 105 + 53 + 76 + 91 + 120 + 61 + 55 + 98 + 61

ΣX = 720

Now, we can determine the mean weight as follows;

Mean = 720/9

Mean = 80

Median is the middle number of a sorted data set, which is when the weights are arranged in an ascending order the least to greatest as follows;

53,55,61,61,76,91,98,105,120

Median = 76.

Mode denotes the value that appears most often or occurs repeatedly in a given data set i.e the number with highest number of frequency in a given data set;

Mode = 61.
