I say 13 because it is the very first year of being a real teenager. by that time the person would be in middle school and can think for themselves. they will probably be in 7th or 8th grade and are used to middle school now. they are used to the extra work the frenemies and the teachers. they are growing up weather their parents and teachers like it or not. it is still up to the parents digression, but I think the person is old enough to use social media platforms none the less. this is the age where they want to hang out with they're friends more, talk to boys or girls more, and live more freely. I think social media is a great way to do that, however it may be wise for a parent to monitor the account for a few months
