Ticks belonged to parasitic arthropods. Most of them have four life stages:

• laying eggs

,

• six-legged larva

,

• eight-legged nymph

,

• adult stage.

These organisms can reproduce sexually or asexually called parthenogenesis. It means that a female tick can reproduce without a male.
