A. What is the mass of an object that produces a force of 900 N while accelerating at 12 m/s?

b. What is the net force required to accelerate a 750 kg car at 5 m/s2?
c. A 20 kg object is being pushed with a force of 440 N. What is its acceleration?

a. The mass is 75kg

b. The net force is 3, 750 N

To determine the values, we have to know that the formula for calculating force is expressed as;

F = ma

Such that;

  • F is the force
  • m is the mass
  • a is the acceleration

a. m = F/a

Substitute the values, we get;

m = 900/12

Divide the values

m = 75kg

b. F = ma

Force, F = 750 ×5

Multiply the values

Force = 3, 750 N

A. What is the mass of an object that produces a force of 900 N while accelerating-example-1
