Explain why there would be the chances of increase in carbon dioxide with the decrease in number of forests?

Answer:

Trees naturally convert carbon dioxide into oxygen, a waste product of photosynthesis. With less trees, less carbon dioxide is being used and the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere would likely increase. Also, the processes used to cut down those trees emit large amounts of carbon dioxide waste.
