If 2x + 2 = - 3x -8

Then, y = 2x + 2

y = -3x -8

In equation y = 2x + 2

when y = 0

0 = 2x + 2

2x = - 2

x = -2/2 = -1

when x = 0

y= 2(0) + 2 = 0 + 2 = 2

(-1,0) ( 0,2)

In equation

y = -3x -8

when y=0 ,

0 = -3x -8

3x =-8

x = - 8/3 = - 2.7

when x = 0

y= -3(0) -8

y =-8

(-2.7,0) (0,-8)

A system is y = 2x+2

y = -3x-8

Consider the equation 2x +2 = -3x – 8. Write a system of linear equations using each-example-1
