: write a brief characterization of the main characters in this section of the book. Include physical description if they are available, the way the characters act, their relationship to other characters, and/or how they function in the story. If the character is not a newly introduced character, characterize him/her and then tell if that character has changed (dynamic/round) or stayed the same (static/flat).

Montag is a 30-year-old fireman with a haunted look in his eyes

Mildred is a beautiful but shallow woman with porcelain skin, chemically dyed hair, and a perpetually vacant expression

Faber is an old, frail man with a long, gray beard and gentle eyes

What are the characters like ?

Montag is a complex and conflicted character. He is a skilled fireman who takes pride in his work, but he is also increasingly troubled by the senseless destruction of books. He is a loyal friend and husband, but he feels increasingly disconnected from his wife, Mildred, who is consumed by her television.

Mildred is a materialistic and self-absorbed woman who is addicted to her television and parlor walls. She is oblivious to the world around her and does not seem to care about the consequences of her actions.

Faber is a wise and compassionate man who has seen the world change for the worse. He is a former English professor who has secretly preserved books and believes in the power of literature.

Note : This is based on Fahrenheit 451
