The circumference of a circle can be calculated with:


C=2\pi r

Where "r" is the radius of the circle.

Then, you need to divide the circumference by 2, because you need to find it in order to calculate the perimeter (as you can see in the picture). In this case:


\begin{gathered} r=17in-9in \\ r=8in \end{gathered}

Then:


(C)/(2)=(2\cdot\pi\cdot8in)/(2)=8\pi in

Now you can add the lengths shown in the picture in order to calculate the perimeter of the figure. This is:


\begin{gathered} P=8\pi in+6in+9in+10in+17in+6in+10in \\ P\approx83in \end{gathered}

The answer is:


P\approx83in
