Mr. Nathan Radley: Chuckling nervously Ah, you heard that, did you? Just a little trespasser is all. Thought I'd teach the scoundrel a lesson by firin' a shot in the air. Didn't aim to hit, of course.

Miss Maudie Atkinson: Nathan, you know you could've called the sheriff instead of takin' matters into your own hands. Might have been some child out for a dare.

Atticus: I must agree with Maudie, we have to think about the safety of the children. Can you tell us exactly what happened?
