consider that the associated pattern function is:

y = x²

you can notice that the given function is a translation of the patter function:

y(x) = x²

y(x + a) = (x + a)²

where a is any constant, in this case a = 4.

This kind of translation consist in a desplacement of the function to the left a units. In this case, you have a rigid translation to the left 4 units.

Hence, the graph is:

Blue curve is the pattern function and purple line is the translated function.
