One example of Bolshevik actions that are contrary to the principles of the Provisional Government is their seizure of power through the October Revolution in 1917.

The Provisional Government known as Bolshevik had been established after the February Revolution with the aim of transitioning Russia to a more democratic and liberal political system. It was meant to serve as a temporary governing body until a Constituent Assembly could be convened to determine the country's future.

However, the Bolsheviks which was led by Vladimir Lenin took advantage of the discontent among the Russian population and the Provisional Government's weaknesses to stage a coup in October.

This action was contrary to the principles of the Provisional Government, which aimed to uphold democratic processes and respect the authority of the Constituent Assembly. The Bolshevik seizure of power was marked by the use force and deception.
