Given the expression

4x^2+5y-3+2y-2x^2-6

To simplify the expression you have to arrange the terms form greatest to least and like terms together:

4x^2-2x^2+5y+2y-3-6

Next is to solve the operations between the like terms

\begin{gathered} (4x^2-2x^2)+(5y+2y)+(-3-6) \\ 2x^2+7y-9 \end{gathered}

So the simplified form of the expression is

2x^2+7y-9
