What does stability mean for the digestive system ?

First, we can say that for our body to carry out its functions normally, it has to be an equilibrium of temperature, pH, and solute concentration, for example, in other words, what we call homeostasis.

So, the term stability regarding the digestive system could be associated with that normal balance in the pH of the gastric juice, but also the enzymes involved in the degradation of aliments that we have also in our mouth.
