The slope of the lines are as follows;
Line 1 (Graph 1): Slope = 2/3 ;Line 2 (Graph 1): Slope = Undefined (It's a vertical line) Line 3 (Graph 2): Slope = -5/8 or -0.625 Line 4 (Graph 2): Slope = 0 (It's a horizontal line) Line 5 (Graph 3): Slope = approximately 0.143 Line 6 (Graph 3): Slope = approximately 2.167
Line 7 (Graph 4): Slope = -1/2 or -0.5 Line 8 (Graph 4): Slope = -2.0
How do we find the slope of the lines?
To find the slope of two dots on a line on a graph, first find the coordinates of the lines. Then use the formula Slope (m) = (y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ - x₁)
Graph 1
Line 1(-7, 0) (-4, 2)
(2 - 0)/(-4 - (-7)) = 2/3
Line 2 (6, -6) (6, 0)
(0 - (-6))/(6 - 6) = undefined (since x1 = x2). It is a vertical line
Graph 2
Line 3 (-6, 5) (2, 0)
(0 - 5)/(2 - (-6)) = -5/8
line 4 (-5, -7) (3, -7)
(-7 - (-7))/(3 - (-5)) = 0. (It's a horizontal line)
Graph 3
Line 5 (4, 2) (-3, 1)
(1 - 2)/(-3 - 4) = 1/7
Line 6 (3, 7) (-3, -6)
(-6 - 7)/(-3 - 3) = -13/-6 = 2

Graph 4
Line 7 (-9, 8) (7, 0)
(0 - 8)/(7 - (-9)) = -8/16 = -1/2
Line 8 (9, -8) (6, -2)
(-2 - (-8))/(6 - 9) = 6/-3 = -2
