Answer:

for 1: yes they are the same

for 2: true

Explanation:

for 1: 5+2+3=10 and 5 +(2+3) = 10 because 2+3=5 so 5+5=10 therefore they are the same

For:2 9=11-2 because 11-2=9

Answer:

1. When combining 5+2+3 it equals 10; and when solving 5+(2+3) you solve what's in the parenthesis first. So the new problem is 5+(5), which equals 10.

2. Same goes for the second one, 11-2 is 9, then you just add the a because both have the same variable
