Simone is buying tomatoes at a farmers' market. The total cost

is directly proportional to the weight of the tomatoes purchased.
A sign reads "8 pounds for $15." How much will Simone have to
pay for 10 pounds of tomatoes?

Start by dividing the 8 pounds and $15, you will get 1.875 in currency form $1.87. Multiply by 10 leaving you with $18.70!
