Given that OP is 4cm, and O is 11, the area of the shaded region is 24.5cm²

How do we find the area of the shaded region?

Lets first find the radius

L = r × π/2

11 = r × π/2

11 × 2/π = r

22/(22/7) = 22 × 7/22 = 7

r = 7

Area of shaded region = Area of sector - Area of triangle

θ/360 × πr² - 1/2 × 7 × 4

90/360 ×22/7 × 7 × 7 - 1/2 × 7 × 4

(22 × 7)/4 - 14

(11 × 7)/2 - 14
(77/2) - 14

Area of shaded region = 24.5

In the figure, the length of the arc AB of the circle with centre 'O' is. 11 cm. If-example-1
