If your trying to answer for X, here is how you do it.

For the equation '' Y = 10x + 20 '', isolate the variable 'X' by dividing each side by factors that don't contain the variable 'X', to get your answer:

X = Y/10 − 2

Or

X =
(Y)/(10) − 2

For the other equation " Y = 20x + 10 ", it's the exact same thing. Isolate the variable 'X' by dividing each side by factors that don't contain the variable 'X', to get your answer:

X = Y/20 − 1/2

Or

X =
(Y)/(20)
(1)/(2)
