How do you find the x intercept and y intercept on a graph and when given an equation?

Answer:

In a graph, the x-intercept will be the point in which the line crosses the horizontal line of the plane.

The y-intercept is found when the line crosses the vertical line of the plane.

In an equation, y = mx + b, the y-intercept is the value of b, and the x-intercept is shown when y = 0. (substitute y for 0 and find the value of x)
