Animal and plant cells are quite similar. However, there are two major differences between them, the chloroplasts and the cell wall, which are only present in plant cells.

On the other hand, the structures shared by both cells are the cell membrane, the cytoplasm and the nucleus. These three structures are vital for cell survival.
