The scale factor is 1 : 2340 . And the Actual width of the park is 390 yards

Using the standard conversion

  • 1 yard = 36 inches

Actual Length of park expressed in inches ;

  • 36 × 520 = 18720 inches

Comparing the actual and drawing length ;

  • drawing length : Actual length

We have ;

Scale factor = 8 : 18720 = 1 : 2340

The actual width of the park ;

  • 6 × 2340 = 14040 inches

Width in yards ;

14040 / 36 = 390 inches
