If your point T is given as,

T (-10, 3),

It simply tells you that on your graph page, you move towards 10 units to the left of the horizontal axis (leftward movement is negative on the x-axis) and 3 units upwards along the vertical axis (upward movement is positive on the y-axis).

The point where both intersect is your point T. Please pay attention as I sketch a graph to illustrate this;
