BC and AD are horizontal segments so their slopes are both 0

The slope of AB and CD can be determine using the slope formula :

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

For AB, the end points are (1, 1) and (4, 6).

m=(6-1)/(4-1)=(5)/(3)

For CD, the end points are (9, 6) and (5, 1).

m=(1-6)/(5-9)=(-5)/(-4)=(5)/(4)

Therefore, the slope of AB is 5/3 and the slope of CD is 5/4

The slopes of AB and CD are not equal
