The value of x in the surd expression is 147

How to solve surds

Surds are expressions that involves square roots of a particular number or more and these number are not a perfect square.

In this expression, the first step is to solve the parameters on the left-hand side. By doing so, we have:

(√(x)* √(14))/(√(49))= √(42)

From the left-hand side, the square root of 42 is 7, so the equation becomes:

(√(x)* √(14))/(7)= √(42)

Squaring both sides to eliminate the square root:

((√(x)* √(14))/(7))^2= (√(42))^2

(x*14)/(7^2)= 42}

x*14}= 42* 49

x= (42* 49)/(14)

x = 147

Therefore, the solution to the value of x in the surd expression is 147.
