You have the following equation:


m^2-5m-1

To evaluate the previous expression for m=6, just replace the value 6 where m is into the previous expression, then simplify, as follow:


\begin{gathered} (6)^2-5(6)-1 \\ =36-30-1 \\ =5 \end{gathered}

Hence, the result is 5
