Given:

1) A hairdresser uses 800ml of shampoo and 320 ml of conditioner on a daily basis.

The ratio from a to b is writtenn as,

a\colon b\text{ that is }(a)/(b)

So, the ration of shampoo to the conditioner is,

(800)/(320)=(5)/(2)

Answer: 5:2.

2) sugar and flour are mixed in the ratio 2:3

\text{sugar:flour}=2\colon3

Let x be the amount of sugar is used with 600 g of flour.

\begin{gathered} (2)/(3)=(x)/(600) \\ 2*600=3x \\ 1200=3x \\ x=(1200)/(3) \\ x=400\text{ g} \end{gathered}

Answer: 400 g of suger is used.
