Part A TURNPIKE The total cost for cars entering President George Bush Turnpike at Beltline Road is related to the number of cars entering the turnpike at Beltline Road. The costs of different numbers of cars entering the turnpike at Beltline Road are as follows: 1 car, $0.75; 2 cars, $1.50; 3 cars, $2.25; 4 cars, $3.00; 5 cars, $3.75.   a. Make a table. b. Determine the domain and range of the relation. Multiple choice question. A) Domain: {1, 2, 3, 4, 5} ; Range: {1,2,3,4,5} B) Domain: {1, 2, 3, 4, 5} ; Range: {0.75, 1.50, 2.25, 3.00, 3.75} C) Domain: {0.75,1,1.50,2} ; Range: {2.5,3,3.75,4,5} D) Domain: {0.75,1.50,2.25,3.00,3.75} ; Range: {1,2,3,4,5} Part B Select the correct choices to complete the sentence. c. Determine whether the relation is a function.   For each element of the domain, there is 1 of 2. Select Choice element of the range. So, this relation 2 of 2. Select Choice a function.

a. A table that models the relationship is shown below.

b. The domain and range of the relation is: B) Domain: {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}; Range: {0.75, 1.50, 2.25, 3.00, 3.75}.

c. For each element of the domain, there is exactly one element of the range. So, this relation is a function.

In Mathematics and Geometry, a range is the set of all real numbers that connects with the elements of a domain for any function, usually read from bottom to top.

A domain is the set of all real numbers (x-values) for which a particular function is defined, usually read from left to right.

Part a.

Based on the set of ordered pairs, a table that models the total cost with respect to the number of cars should be completed as follows;

Number of cars Total cost ($)

1 0.75

2 1.50

3 2.25

4 3.00

5 3.75

Part b.

Based on the table of values, the domain and range for the given relation are as follwos;

Domain = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}.

Range = {0.75, 1.50, 2.25, 3.00, 3.75}.

Part c.

In conclusion, we can logically deduce that this relation is a function because for each element of the domain, there is exactly one element of the range.
