A reflection over the y-axis can be done in a given point by simply changing the sign of the x-coordinate of the point. This will get the point to the exact place that is equal distance from the y-axis.

So, for A, it was at coordinate:


A=(-4,2)

So, we change the sign of the x-coordinate to get A':


\begin{gathered} A^(\prime)=(-(-4),2) \\ A^(\prime)=(4,2) \end{gathered}

Which is alternative D.
