Let x represent the number of Supra balls that were ordered

Let y represent the number of Lightning balls that were ordered

Supra balls cost $2.00

This means that the cost of x Supra balls is 2 * x = 2x

Lightning balls cost .90 each

This means that the cost of y Lightening balls is 0.9 * y = 0.9y

The total cost of the Supra balls exceeded the total cost of the Lightening balls by $132. This means that

2x - 0.9y = 132

If an equal number of each brand was ordered, it means that

x = y

2x - 0.9x = 132

1.1x = 132

x = 132/1.1

x = 120

This means that 120 of each balls were ordered. Recall, 1 dozen = 12 balls

120 balls = 120/12 = 10

Thus, 10 dozens of each brand were ordered.
