This journal serves as a record for off-the-job training evidence pertinent to apprenticeships.
What is the role of the journal?
It documents research, in-house training sessions, and self-study related to the apprenticeship and role. Acceptable materials include podcasts and relevant blogs.
Off-the-job training should align with the apprenticeship program, aiming to enhance new skills, knowledge, and behaviors. Importantly, it must occur during normal paid working hours. Reviews with the Direct Learning Coach (DLC) involve discussing these activities, ensuring their relevance and contribution to the apprentice's development within the program.
