The slope formula is the following formula:


m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

With our given set of points:


\lbrace(-2,2),(-7,-6)\rbrace

We have the following:


\begin{gathered} \begin{cases}x_1=-2 \\ y_1=2\end{cases} \\ \begin{cases}x_2=-7 \\ y_2=-6\end{cases} \end{gathered}

If we just plug them in the slope formula we get the following:


m=(-6-(2))/(-7-(-2))=(-8)/(-7+2)=(-8)/(-5)=(8)/(5)

With this, we have our slope.
