Jane starts walking from the school, which is the origin of the graph. She walks at a steady pace of 3 miles per hour.

Johnny starts at a distance of 6 miles from the school. He walks at a slower pace of 2 miles per hour. A treasure is buried where Jane and Johnny meet.

Explanation:

hmmm, so Jane starts at origin (that is 0 on graph) and she goes 3 miles per hour, I'm going to assume the y is hour and x is miles, so her line goes up and the equation for her line is y = 3x. Johnny starts at 6 so still assuming y is hours and x is miles, his line goes up as well, his equation is y = 2x + 6. So if they had to meet somewhere on the graph, it would be at y = 18.
