The line passes through the points (0,4) and (8,8) hence the equation of the line by two point form is given by:

\begin{gathered} (y-4)/(x-0)=(4-8)/(0-8) \\ y-4=x((1)/(2)) \\ 2y-8=x \\ y=(1)/(2)x+4 \end{gathered}

Compare the equation with slope intercept form given by:

y=mx+c
\text{Slope}=m=(1)/(2),y-intercept=c=4

The y-intercept is 4 and it tells that the line has positive y-intecept so it cuts the y-axis at 4.

The slope is 1/2 and it tells that the line is progressively increasing since slope is positive.
