Probability

The probability of an event can be calculated with the formula:

\displaystyle P=(f)/(n)

Where f is the number of favorable cases and n is the total number of cases.

We are required to find the probability for Delta (a dog, for sure) of selecting a stuffed animal out of her basket.

There are f=9 stuffed animals out of a total of n=20 toys to chew, thus the required probability is:

\displaystyle P=(9)/(20)=0.45

The probability is 0.45 or 45%
