Final answer:

Glaxo could use biodegradable plastics such as polylactic acid or plant-based materials for sustainable packaging of vitamin capsules, or opt for recycled plastics, ensuring both environmental benefits and product integrity.

Step-by-step explanation:

For Glaxo to replace the glass bottles used for the vitamin capsule Becadexamin with a more sustainable packaging material, one of the recommended options would be to use biodegradable plastics or plant-based materials. These materials are designed to break down more quickly than traditional plastics and have a lesser environmental impact. An example of such a material is polylactic acid (PLA), which is derived from renewable resources like corn starch or sugarcane. Another option could be the use of recycled plastics, which would help reduce waste by reusing materials. However, this choice must ensure that the integrity and safety of the capsules are maintained. Whatever material is chosen, it must comply with regulations and maintain product quality while minimizing environmental impact.
