Moving a charge from point A, where the potential is 506.59 V, to point B, where the potential is 170.81 V, takes 0.62 milliJ of work. What is the value of the charge, in micro-Coulombs?

For this problem, we will need to work backwards

w = Uf - Ui

U = Vq

.62 x 10^ -3 = 506.59q - 170.81q

q = .62 x 10^ -3/(506.59-170.81) = 1.846 x 10 ^-6 = -1.846 microCoulombs
